About the Role
Our client is a well-known local government organisation based in Maroochydore QLD. They are currently seeking a Credit Management Officer in Accounts Receivable to come in and join their Maroochydore team on a temp contract opportunity until 31st March 2026.
Candidates for this position must have tertiary qualifications in Business Administration or Finance, coupled with strong Accounts Receivable and general administration experience.
As the Credit Management officer you will provide administration assistance in all accounts receivable duties in accordance with policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
Accounts Receivable & Data Administration: Manage the end-to-end administration of accounts receivable, including the initial processing of credit applications and trade references. You are responsible for the daily preparation of invoices, credit notes, and journals, while ensuring high data integrity through the accurate processing of import files and the maintenance of debtor records.
Debt Management & Recovery: Oversee the maintenance of sundry debtor accounts, including the implementation of credit alerts and basic debt recovery actions. This involves preparing and monitoring rate payment arrangements, reviewing customer payment statuses, and providing regular reporting to leadership on recovery progress.
Financial Reconciliation & Reporting: Provide technical assistance to the Senior Officer during critical end-of-month reconciliation processes across core platforms like T1 Property and the Events Management System. You will ensure financial accuracy by clearing minimal balances and correcting misallocated payments.
Stakeholder Liaison & Customer Service: Serve as a primary point of contact for internal business units and external customers. You are responsible for resolving enquiries with high levels of discretion and sensitivity, ensuring all communications are professional, timely, and compliant with privacy legislation.
Compliance & Records Management: Ensure all activities adhere to policies, particularly regarding the secure capture and management of public records. This includes maintaining accurate system logs of all customer interactions and conducting "return to sender" protocols to keep database information current.
Safety, Improvement & Team Support: Actively contribute to a safe workplace culture and participate in the continuous improvement of Credit Management processes. You will also provide cross-functional support to the wider Revenue and Receipting teams to ensure departmental goals are met during peak periods.
About You
You will be an experienced Credit Management Officer with proven experience and reliability in previous positions.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Business Administration experience
- Accounts Receivable administration experience
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
